Chapter 35 – Domestic Goddess
Casi sat on a stool in the kitchen, staring at a cake on the counter. “I see you had an exciting evening?” Kyle commented.
“I made you a cake! It has whiskey in it!” Casi grinned.
“Let me jump in the shower, I reek of cigarette smoke.” He threw his clothes in the washer to avoid permeating the house. He took a quick shower, washing his hair twice to get the aroma out. He came back and noticed Casi set out two plates. He could hear the washer running. “Aren’t you the domestic goddess?” He smiled and cut a slice of the fantastic chocolate cake.
“It has a caramel whiskey glaze.” She wiggled her shoulders as she took a bite. Kyle was pleased to see her excited about the cake, which was delicious, to his surprise.
